About Mr. Giuseppe Ferrarelli
Originally from Calabria in southern Italy, Mr. Giuseppe Ferrarelli arrived in Canada in 1956, the year he got married.
In 1965, he opened a butcher shop at Rue St-Michel.
In 1973, he bought a small abattoir at Rue Roy, followed by another in 1976 at the corner of Mozart and Saint-Dominique.
In the 1980s, he expanded the business by acquiring the premises at 116 Rue Roy.
With his team, he markets grain-fed poultry and high-quality game. He later expanded his product range to include charcuterie and smoked meats.
In 2015, Mr. Giuseppe Ferrarelli passed away after working as a butcher for 50 years.
He left his two daughters and his dedicated staff responsible for continuing his project while maintaining the values he passed on.
